We are a small, locally owned business founded by South Florida natives and high school sweethearts, Gaby and Alvaro. Gaby hails from a renowned tobacco-growing family, where their leaves are sought after by many cigar makers to create some of the most popular blends in the industry – blends that we proudly showcase in our carefully curated humidor.

Alvaro's journey into the world of tobacco began as a fascination that grew with each step of the process, from the vast growing fields to the meticulous manufacturing, and finally to the brick and mortar where enthusiasts gather. The cigar community became something truly special to him, and being part of this industry was a long-cherished dream.

As Gaby continued her work with the family business, Alvaro explored various paths, initially in the culinary industry and later as a branch manager in one of the nation's top financial institutions. It was during this time that Alvaro stumbled across Ultimate Cigars & Fine Wines, a shop serving Fort Lauderdale since 1998. Being conveniently located across from his branch, Alvaro often brought in customers and employees, sharing his passion for cigars and offering recommendations to novices.

About a year later, fate intervened when the shop owner, Moe, intrigued by Alvaro's knowledge, inquired about its source. Alvaro shared his background, explaining his connection to a tobacco farming family through marriage. Moe, recognizing an opportunity, asked if Alvaro knew anyone interested in purchasing a cigar and wine shop. Destiny smiled upon Alvaro, and the deal was sealed.

And so, a new chapter began with the rebranded Ash & Vine Cigar & Wine Shop, poised to serve the downtown Fort Lauderdale community with a handpicked selection of premium cigars and wines.
